Find a Solid Front Cover
I have a rubber case thing for my iPod and wanted these so the screen and scroll wheel would be protected, and while the screen is totally protected, they made separate parts for the scroll wheel that don't fit together perfectly so there's still space for it to get scratches (and be sure it will, with all the scrolling). Application is sort of tricky and took me a minute to figure out since the directions in translation from Chinese won't help you ("If has any questions to paste in the course, can carefully to take it out, paste it again."). I peeled off the plastic that the iPod came in to put these on, but put the original back on after discovering the gaps.
