Be great if they worked,....
I really wanted these to work....expensive iPOD swim belt,....Otterbox for the ipod Shuffle,..expensive little earphones.....the system would work, but the things just don't stay in my ears. I get 1/2 a lap of good (enough) sound in one ear, and then the water comes in and it is all over.
I found the swim belt comfortable enough to swim with and the otter box worked fine,..this is the only weak link.

I am stupid enough to be tempted by the newer versions,..or maybe I will monkey with these...

Very Dissapointing
I bought these headphones to ease the bordem while swimming laps. They sound great for about 10 seconds when you first submerge your head. As soon as you start to turn your head from side to side while swimming, the seal leaks, fills up your ear with water, and the sound disappears. I tried trimming the ear piece (didn't work). I also tried adding a ring of silicone around the earpiece (as suggested by the manufacturer) and that lasted for less than one length of the pool and my ears filled up again. The headphones were also very uncomfortable. Don't waste your money on this!!!

Sporadic results
When these work they are really great. They sound tinny above water, but really great underwater. But, they leak on me a lot, and I cannot figure out why. Some days I can swim for 30 minutes with few problems, other times I cannot keep the water out. The problem is that if water gets in, you cannot hear anything at all. You have to stop swimming, take the out of your ears and shake out the water, then put them back in. Over all I find them very frustrating. Another guy at my pool has a pair and loves them, but I have really given up on them.

Muffled sound earpiece hurts not worth it
Why these are recommended by Otterbox is unbelieveable the head band is useless the air pieces are useless.

Close but not quite
I bought these for use while swimming at the gym. I swim regularly and love my music during my workouts. When I saw these I was eager to try them out. I bought them in combination with the Otter-Box (which I LOVE). They come with two sets of caps that fit over the speaker. I fit the caps to my ear and trimmed to length. I tested in the shower and things seemed to work perfectly.

Then I took them to the gym for the first time. I jumped in the pool and submerged my head. WOW, was my first impression. I got great sound! I was impressed. So I started my workout. As I turned the first lap, the sound disappeared. The caps leaked and as water filled my ear canal they no longer produced enough volume for me to hear. I tried several more times to use this product, however, I have not once had a workout (in six months) that these will work flawlessly.

I give them a close but not quite rating, because they do produce audible sound, but they cannot keep the sound going for a full 30 minute swimming workout. I get one half a lap at best before I have to stop and adjust. Then it becomes more frustrating than it's worth!
