Didn't Work For My Mini..
The reviews on this product were pretty positive, so I thought I'd give it a shot. The directions were easy enough to follow, but I had to chip up the cover a bit in order to get the top and bottom open with the instrument they provided. In the end, the new battery never worked. After charging it in the wall, the screen would just blink if I plugged it into my computer, and the iPod itself would never turn on. I think I was better off beforehand. At least my old battery gave me a couple hours of playtime.

easy to install, works great
I had no problem installing this thing into my 3 year old Ipod mini, I didn't lose any songs and from 1/2 hour battery life with my old battery I now have around 6 hours. Such a good buy I bought them for everyone else in my life with an Ipod mini.

Ipod mini battery
This item fits well into the ipod mini, the same as the original. Other, cheaper batteries that were supposed to replace the mini battery were slightly larger or different in shape, making the case difficult to close after replacement.

Worse than the original battery
As with most ipod mini's, my battery began to lose its charge and was hardly effective barely an hour and a half of playtime @ the lowest volume level). The installation of this new battery went fairly smooth and I had no problem but the battery itself is horrible. I used it a few times and it worked decently but now it barely can play 2-3 songs and goes from being fully charged to dead. I would not recommend this product unless you want to try your luck, I used the previously review to make my decision and was hoping for a better solution than having to lose my ipod to a refurbished one.
