Works with iPhone 3GI use this with iPhone 3G on Mazda Demio '09 (I think the US name is Mazda 3?). It works great. Phone part also works. I can make / recieve calls with Bluetooth unit. (The built-in speaker doesn't work.) Music start / FF / RWD buttons are helpful. Very much satisfied.
Awesome iPhone 3G product!I purchased this based on other reviews in terms of iPhone 3G compatibility. I could not have been happier with the item, as it works perfectly. Since the phone function won't actually work with the adapter, I just keep a cheap Bluetooth headset in the car with me - you can leave the phone attached and still talk. I've also left the original iPhone headset attached and it works fine too. Originally, I was only looking for a car charger, since I had an adapter for the headphone jack. This is waaaaay better, especially for the price. You can't go wrong!
misleading descriptionWhy is this called 'FM TRANSMITTER"??????? It is NOT! I bought this thinking it was and now I know that it only works through AUX outlet. I am very disappointed as I live in India and brought it back with me all the way from the US and now have a useless product in my hand which wont work since my car does not have an aux outlet. :((
BUYER BEWARE -- NOT A FM TRANSMITTER!THIS IS NOT AN FM TRANSMITTER! It might be a great product but I'll never know because my car stereo doesn't have an aux receptacle. I knew this so I shopped around until I found this product and then when it arrived ... no transmitter.
It's labeled as the "Griffin AutoPilot FM Transmitter for iPod" and the description supports this.

Not an FM TransmitterI wasn't looking for an FM transmitter. It wasn't labeled as an FM transmitter when I bought it, I can't imagine why you've changed the label and are now calling it one. It's not one.
It's still some kind of crud. The iPod charges, the sound does get to the stereo, but the buttons on the face of this device stopped working inside a week and now I'm stuck with this non-functioning device.
