Originally developed for professional musicians, the E3c combines WideBand MicroDriver technology with a sound isolating design to deliver rich, detailed sound with improved high end while blocking outside noise - ideal for optimizing your listening experience with portable MP3, DVD, and CD players as well as all other audio sources. The E3c's in ear design works like an earplug to block background noise naturally. This enables you to listen comfortably at lower volumes-even in loud environments. And unlike bulky headphones utilizing active noise cancellation technology, no artifacts are introduced into your listening experience. Sound isolating earphones are also much smaller and don't require batteries. The E3c's speakers are constructed with studio-grade components to produce exceptional audio clarity, delivering detailed highs and enhanced bass that allows you to hear parts of your music you've never heard before.Because every ear is different, E3c Earphones come with a pair of disposable Foam Sleeves, three pairs (small, medium, large) of Flex Sleeves, and three pairs of Soft Flex Sleeves (small, medium, large) to ensure the ideal personalized fit.

Customer Reviews Not what I orderedI ordered the Shure E3c but was sent, without notification, the Shure SE210. Perhaps the SE210 is better, but it seems pretty sleazy to send a different item without asking the buyer. It was not Amazon that made the switch; the order came from Electronics Expo.
Shure E3C-sn and SE210 Great ProductI have these as well as the E2 version. I use these daily at the gym 5 days a week as well as well as when walking or jogging. I've had these for several months and here are my results:
2. Bass: The key is getting the proper fit, and I suspect most people that are not getting good bass have not properly fitted the buds.
3. Getting a proper fit. Several bud covers come with the package. Try each style to insure a tight fit deep into the ear canal.
4. Getting the flanges to fit: I also found the yellow and silicone covers didn't fit and fell out of my ear. So I tried the flange tips. Initially, they were too long to fit in my ear canals. I found that I could snip off one piece of flange on each side and they fit. I also found that if I slightly moisten each flange before inserting into the ear, and then slip them in with a clockwise motion, they seat properly and do not fall out.
4. Maintenance: The flanges, especially, with the deep fit in the ear, can collect ear wax, so these tips can be cleaned carefully. The flanges seem to last forever. A flange replacement kit can be also purchased from Amazon for about $12. It's important to wind up the wires and place the phones back into their case after each use.
5. Placement when in use: Though the Shures can work hanging by down in front, as well as behind the head, I find that mine work best when I wrap behind the ear. The wire is sturdy enough so that even at the gym (working out or running), the wires remain in place.
Cost? It's a matter of "you get what you pay for". It's nice to have an electronic device with a 2 year warranty, and that can be worth the price, as evidenced by other customer comments about warranty service.
6. Sound blocking: When the tips are properly inserted, nearly all outside sound is blocked, even voices from people standing beside you. Ambient sound is virtually blocked. Just be careful if you wear these while walking or jogging outdoors.
7. Airplane: I used the pair I have with the flanged tips when I flew on a business trip, and virtually all jet noise was blocked.
8. Sound quality: I tend to listen to all genres of music, and I have been satisfied. I can adjust the equalizer on my Samsung MP3 to chnage sound response.
Cons: Not really any. It took me a while to get used to how to insert and properly wear these phones. I suspect that most customers that have any issues just don't take the time and effort to get a proper fit. I'd recommend any of the Shure line that has the flange tips that fit.
ReviewThese headphones have better noise cancelling but the sound quality is not as good as the E3c-n series.
Unauthorized substitution of merchandiseThe retailer substituted another model (SE210) for the E3-c's I ordered. I was not consulted regarding the substitution. I realize the newer model could be considered a technical substitute for the model I ordered, but good business practice would have been to notify me the model I ordered was unavailable, and to ask if I would agree to the substitution. I am not pleased with the seller. I cannot in good conscience recommend them.
They ruined my christmas shopping and gift...I order Christmas gift for my boyfriend. However,I did not received the product I ordered. Instead, without asking me, they sent me the replacement which I did not impress at all. Luckily, I didn't put his address so I received it before he see it. According to them, the product was out of stock so they sent me the same company's newer product, but found out it is less value and I could get cheaper at different store. I really didn't want them to send me anything if they didn't have the product. Now I have to go to FedEx or UPS office and have to go thru unnecessary trip, which really ruined the point of internet shopping to save money and time for shopping... now it's so close to Christmas and I need to look for "replacement" gift... I really think they did that intensionally to sell their over stock items. In addition, I call and email them to return the item. They, of cause did not answer the phone and email response was auto message saying someone will response back but haven't hear from them. I now needed to contact my credit card company to stop the payment... what hasseI! I must need to say they are worse than scammer. | Podcasts and Videos | Creating MP3 Files |
