The iSkin's stock image is misleading but it is a study product
The iSkin eVo3 is a two-piece iPod protector that manages to do the job perfectly at the expense of losing part of iPod's sleek design. The outer layer of the iSkin is a silicone sleeve that covers everything but the screen. A clear plastic faceplate covers the screen and has a hallowed circle at the bottom that allows access to the click wheel. The silicone doesn't hinder the click wheel's movement at all and feels very smooth, surprisingly since the material is actually pretty thick. The iSkin also has a clip at the back that's actually pretty study and has a tight lock that prevents it from easily falling apart, though I don't use it and can be easily removed (If you buy the iSkin consider wheather or not you'll use the clip ahead of time, that way you won't have to take out your iPod to take it off and risk introducing dust inside the silicone sleeve.).
There's only two problems I have with the iSkin. The first is that the stock image of the iSkin is misleading. The stock image looks really cool and like something that compliments the iPod but the actual product doesn't look that way. The silicone sleeve and the clear plastic faceplate makes the iPod lose a lot of its good looks. It can be forgiven, certainly, since the iSkin does protect well but just be fair warned that the iPod's sleek look will suffer a little for protection.
My second problem with the iSkin is that the silicone sleeve attracts dust as if that were its job. Even on my iPod which I take care of quite well and make sure to cover up when not in use, the signs of dust can be easily seen. The silicone material makes it difficult to remove with the fingers and impossible with a cleaning cloth. The best way I've found is to actually blow on it.
Other than those qualms I think the iSkin is a sturdy product that does its job well with only minimal sacrifice.
